The Confluence was established on the 21st of August 2017 as a Make In India Entrepreneur is in-line with the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to promote Khadi and the Handloom Industry's to Empower Women from rural villages has adopted cluster of villages and artisans as model sample to begin development of Khadi Textiles for manufacturing and marketing chain and bring synergy with development of Khadi and Handloom Industry.
Rising yarn prices, falling employment opportunities, declining wage rates, shrinking markets and idling looms, Indian weavers have nobody to take up cudgels on their behalf.
Confluence is a registered body under Indian Trust Act 1882.
Confluence offer's a fascinating model, which combines compassion and artistic acumen to scale solutions that are needed now more than ever.
The mission and vision of Confluence is to organize these Handloom weavers into clusters and make them competitive by providing support for their long-term sustainability.
Confluence aims at -

- To equip traditional artisans of the associated clusters with the improved skills.
- To make provision for common facilities and improved tools and equipment’s for artisans.
- To strengthen the cluster with the active participation of the stakeholders.
- To build up innovated and traditional skills, improved technologies, advanced processes, market intelligence and create awareness about new models of public-private partnerships.
OUR CAUSE
Confluence is working towards the unsung geometry of weavers. To become the voice of the voiceless and create a periphery for the gentry to take the plunge in the mainstream market. Decades of poorly implemented protection policies and the growth of power loom imitations has led to the slow downfall of the handlooms sector. The richness of the symbolic value of handlooms is evident in the metaphors evoked who do not own looms.

Craft Cultural Complex
To be located at Uttar Pradesh, the Craft Cultural Complex / Village Cluster to be modeled with artisans both Handicraft and Handloom by the village women and easily accessible to Buyers and Fashion Designers and students of Fashion Academy to connect directly with women weavers, care for them with kindness, compassion, ensure their good livelihood and create handloom designs and engage them with production of Khadi and handloom fabric as per the designs and organic colors of the designer.
The main aim of the village cluster model is to promote Indian Culture - with its rich tradition of textiles in India and people’s way of living around the country and promote and preserve the traditional handlooms and handicrafts. This will promote village tourism and home stay.
The main attractions of the model cluster will be the -
- Craft Training and Production Institute,
- Craft Museum, Artists' Colony,
- The Craft Village,
- Craft Boutique, and
- Commerce Development Centre.
It will be a complex built in the authentic styles used around the state.
The complex site to be covered with exclusive species of plants and trees commonly found in the state, including herbs and medicinal plants and different varieties of species of lotus, signifying the importance of the most spiritual flower and symbolic to India.
The cluster of villages where unique traditional craft is practiced, often for the last hundreds of years.
